RESIDENT INTERACTIVE'S PRIVACY STATEMENT

Welcome to Resident Interactive! By using this site, you are deemed to have agreed to this Privacy Policy. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify our Privacy Policy at any time. You should check the Privacy Policy periodically for changes. By using the site after we post any changes to the Privacy Policy, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them. If at any time you choose not to accept the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use this site.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
Resident Interactive collects personally identifiable information from you at several points through your use of this site. In order to service this site, we may collect personally identifiable information for registration, financial transactions, surveys and contests, Tell-A-Friend, public forums and receipt of newsletters and other promotional materials.

USE OF COOKIES
A cookie is a piece of data stored on your hard drive containing information about your website usage preferences. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. When you log on to our site, a cookie is set that tells us who you are, what your preferences are, and which Resident Interactive communities you belong to. This cookie is referenced as you navigate through our site. It is used so that we can verify what access rights you have within our site. If you reject cookies, you will not be able to access the interactive and secured portion of our site. If you have questions or concerns about the use of cookies on the Resident Interactive website, please email us at security@residentinteractive.com. Some of our business partners also use cookies on our site (for example, advertisers). However, we have no access to or control over these cookies.

SECURITY
Resident Interactive takes reasonable precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration/order form asks you to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with encryption software recognized in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just surfing. While we will use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also protect your information off-line. All of your information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment, behind locked doors. If you have any questions about the security at our website, you can send an email to security@residentinteractive.com.

SHARING OF INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES
We share aggregated or non-personally identifiable information with our partners and advertisers. We also partner with other parties to provide specific services. When you sign up for these services, we will share information in order to best provide these services. These parties are not authorized to retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

TRANSFER OF BUSINESS ASSETS
As we continue to develop our business, we might acquire or buy other businesses or assets. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets. Also, in the event that Resident Interactive, or substantially all of its assets are acquired, both personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable customer information will be one of the transferred assets.

LINKS
This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that Resident Interactive is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website you visit. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by Resident Interactive on this website.

CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION AND OUR OPT-OUT POLICY
Our users are given the opportunity to 'opt-out' of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our site when the information is requested. Users who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional materials from our partners may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to unsubscribe in the subject line in the email or by emailing us at support@residentinteractive.com. REGISTRATION
In order to use this website, you must first complete the registration form. During registration you are required to give your contact information (such as name and email address). This is used for verification of membership rights to the various Resident Interactive communities that you attempt to register for, to identity and verify official votes within the Resident Interactive communities, and to verify identity when you RSVP to events. It is optional for you to provide address information. Address information is used to generate "one-click" map directions from your home to events and to local businesses. This information is also used to contact you about services on our site for which you have expressed interest. It is optional for you to provide demographic information (such as income level and gender), but you are encouraged to do so that we can provide a more personalized experience to you on our site.

FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS
We may request information from you for financial transactions. If you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number and expiration date), the information is used for billing purposes and to fill customers' orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with you.

SURVEYS AND CONTESTS

We may request information from you via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and optional. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code). We also collect the responses to the survey questions. Some of the survey contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will also be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site. Resident Interactive has the ability to deploy surveys to your community. For example, a Homeowners Association president can deploy an on-line survey to the residents of the neighborhood as a means for collecting feedback on various issues. Your individual response will be visible to the creator of the survey, and linked to your user id. We advise you to exercise caution in providing any personal information in these surveys. From time-to-time Resident Interactive will allow third parties to post their surveys on our web site in order to reach our user base. In this case, the user id will be tracked in order to prevent individual users from responding more than once to a single survey. However, the responses to the surveys will only be shared with the third party at an aggregate level. These aggregate level responses are not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

TELL-A-FRIEND
If you elect to use our referral service to inform a friend about our site, we ask you for the friend's name and email address. Resident Interactive will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. Resident Interactive stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. The friend may email us at support@residentinteractive.com to request the removal of this information from our database.

PUBLIC FORUMS
This site makes use of a directory, chat rooms, classified ads, and message boards. Please remember that any information disclosed in these areas becomes public information, and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

NEWSLETTER
If a user wishes to exercise their option to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for contact information such as name and email address.

NO LIABILITY FOR ACTS OF THIRD PARTIES

Although Resident Interactive will use all reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal identification information, transmissions made by means of the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure. Resident Interactive will have no liability for disclosure of information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties.
